Product Design

Good products start with the right questions

And end up working for users and performing for the business.

We work with founders and product teams
to figure out what to build, why it matters, and how to make it real. New product or a redesign, we’re in it with you from the first question to the final handoff.

How we work

Before anything gets designed, we get into the details with you. The business logic, user reality, the thing the team has been sensing for a while but haven't quite structured yet.

01

New product

  • What are we actually building?
  • Who is it really for?
  • Where the real value lives?

Starting from scratch

02

Redesign

  • What needs a rethink, even if it doesn't feel like it yet?
  • Where the user flows matter more than visuals?
  • What users rely on and shouldn't lose?

Taking something further

Find your fit

New product, redesign, fundraise, or ongoing UX evolution we've shaped our engagements around the situations we actually see. Here's what working together can look like.
  • Product Foundation
  • Investor-Ready Prototype
  • Ongoing Design Partnership
  • Full Product Redesign

01 — Product Foundation

2-4 weeks

For: Founders and early teams

You have the idea. We help turn it into something buildable. Workshops, user research, journey design, an interactive prototype. By the end you have the product direction fully structured and documented, clear enough to brief a development team, convincing enough to show investors.

What this includes

  • MVP Blueprint
  • Feature and screen design
  • Product Foundation
  • Interactive Prototype
  • Pitch Deck Materials

By the end you know exactly what you're building, who it's for, and why it makes sense, and you have something real to show for it.

02 — Investor-Ready Prototype

6–10 weeks

For: Founders heading into a fundraise

A prototype with a real story behind it: tested, logically defensible, clearly structured. Not just something that looks polished, but something that holds up when the questions get hard.

What this includes

  • Executive Prototype
  • Narrative Framework
  • Validation Insights
  • Roadmap
  • Materials

By the end you know exactly what you're building, who it's for, and why it makes sense, and you have something real to show for it.

03 — Ongoing Design Partnership

Ongoing retainer

For: Teams that need design built into their workflow

We work inside your sprints: feature design, UX QA, design system evolution, cross-team collaboration. Especially useful for products in active development or going through a redesign in stages.

What this includes

  • Sprint Deliverables
  • Design System
  • Component Library
  • Ongoing UX
  • Progress

By the end you know exactly what you're building, who it's for, and why it makes sense, and you have something real to show for it.

04 — Full Product Redesign

Ongoing

For: Established products ready for a meaningful evolution

Some products reach a point where small fixes stop being enough. The structure needs rethinking, the experience needs reconnecting to where the product is today, and where it's going.
We start with a deep audit, not just the UX, but the logic underneath it. Then we build a redesign strategy around that picture, phased and manageable. Big products can't stop while they're being redesigned. We know that and we plan around it.

What this includes

  • UX Audit
  • Redesign Strategy
  • Updated IA
  • Design System
  • Validated Prototype
  • Phased Handoff Documentation

By the end you know exactly what you're building, who it's for, and why it makes sense, and you have something real to show for it.

Something feels familiar?

These are the situations that usually bring teams to us.

Our MVP becomes bigger & messy.

At some point it stopped being minimal and became just a product. We strip it back to what needs to exist on day one and save the rest for later. Harder than it sounds, but it always pays off.

CEO Miras

Investors want to see it.
We're not ready.

We build a prototype with a proper story behind it. Clear flow, clear narrative, something defensible you can walk into a room with.

Unknown Fox

We're scared of building the wrong thing.

Prototype it, test it with real users, learn fast. By the time you commit to development you already know it works.

Strange Owel

The product has grown a lot. The UX hasn't quite kept up.

Happens naturally when things move fast. We look at the structure, figure out what needs change, and work through it without disrupting what's already running well.

Strange Owel

Great idea.
No idea where to start

We sit down, slow down, work through it together. Problem framing, audience definition, value mapping. You leave with a foundation that's ready to go.

CEO Staix

We know it needs a redesign.
Just not sure where to begin.

That's exactly where we start. A proper audit: where users are dropping off, what's costing you support time, where the product is losing people it shouldn't. Then a plan built around what the business actually needs, not around assumptions.

CEO Staix

Users are dropping off somewhere. We can't pinpoint it.

We dig into it: user research, session analysis, journey mapping. Once we know where and why people are leaving, we work through it with you and fix those specific moments. The ones that are quietly killing retention, not just the interface around them.

CEO Levis

New product or fifth redesign the first question is always the same:
What does this product actually
need right now?

We handle it differently

Waiting for a brief

Shaping it together

Executing tasks

Co-owning outcomes

Delivering screens

Driving product decisions

Solving the stated problem

Finding the real one

Building on assumptions

Designing on evidence

Handing off and moving on

Staying until it ships

The process

And When Things Shift

Priorities change. Timelines compress. We adapt. We’ve worked on enough products to know that the process serves the outcome—not the other way around.

Handoff Without Loss

When we hand designs to developers, we stay involved. Annotations, specs, design QA, support during build. What was designed is what gets built.

Prototype & Test

We make things tangible fast. Clickable prototypes, user testing, iteration. The goal is to find the problems before engineering does.

Architecture & Journeys

We map out how the product works: the flows, the entry points, the moments where things go right or wrong. Structure before screens. Logic before layouts.

Research & Evidence

We talk to users, study competitors, review analytics, test assumptions. Not to collect information for its own sake—to build a shared picture of what’s actually true versus what’s assumed.

Problem Framing

We go through the assumptions: ours and yours. Sometimes the problem is exactly what it looks like. Sometimes there’s something else underneath it. Either way, we’d rather find out now than three months in.

Immersive Discovery

We talk to the right people, map the context, look at the landscape. We want to really understand what’s going on before we start having opinions about it. The more we know at this stage, the better everything that follows.
